THE LOST CITY OF CECIL B. DEMILLE

Documentary, Adventure, Biography
89 min (USA, 2015)

Director: Peter L. Brosnan
Writer: Peter L. Brosnan
Producers: Daniel J. Coplan
Cast: Cecil B. DeMille, Cecilia DeMille Presley, Agnes DeMille, Jesse Lasky, Jr.

For his 1923 biblical epic THE TEN COMMANDMENTS, director Cecil B. DeMille re-created ancient Egypt on the central California coast with one of the biggest movie sets in history. It mysteriously vanished after the film was completed. Director Peter Brosnan’s 30-year quest to find the site – and, through numerous interviews, its secrets – makes for one of the most fascinating behind-the-scenes documentaries ever.
