The documentary Armenian Queens is truly about a historic drama about women from the time of matriarchy to the present day. Here, history is presented through the eyes of women, or more accurately, Armenian women, who endured a tragic path from worship and deification to the disaster of genocide, humiliation, and modern struggle for their rights. The heroines of the film are both legendary Queens of Armenia and our contemporaries: women of war, women of literature, and women of politics over the five thousand years of Armenian history.
