Independent filmmakers are at the heart of what makes cinema exciting. They take creative risks, tell stories that might otherwise go unheard, and bring fresh perspectives to audiences around the world. Their passion and originality keep filmmaking vibrant, meaningful, and constantly evolving. This year, we’re thrilled to present 52 films from 19 countries, showcasing an incredible range of voices, cultures, and storytelling styles.

These films take us on journeys across the globe and into the lives of people we may never have met, yet somehow deeply understand. Along the way, you’ll discover stories filled with hope, resilience, love, laughter, loss, and everything in between. Whether it’s a powerful drama, an eye-opening documentary, or an unexpected gem, every film offers a unique perspective and a chance to see the world through someone else’s eyes.

The festival will take place in person at the TCL Chinese Theatre (6801 Hollywood Blvd., 3rd Floor, Hollywood, CA 90028) from Thursday, September 24, through Sunday, September 27, 2026.
